“Qualitel” is a combination of “Quality” and “Electronics.” Qualitel’s President, Tuanhai Hoang, incorporated Qualitel after working for Intel, which stands for “Intelligent Electronics.”

Qualitel uses state-of-the-art equipment to perform SMT (surface mount technology), selective, and wave soldering of circuit card electronics. Does Qualitel have offshore manufacturing?

Qualitel does not own any offshore manufacturing services, but we do have a strong partnership with In-tech, based in Hong Kong. Qualitel has also helped manage the success of some customers’ transfer to offshore for higher volume production while maintaining production of 10-20% of their volume locally. This strategy ensures success and on-shore support.

Does Qualitel test in-house?

Qualitel highly recommends that all products be fully tested at our facility. That way, our team can troubleshoot and be held accountable for product quality and reliability. Qualitel provides the following types of tests in-house: Flying Probe, In-Circuit testing (ICT), Halt/Hass, RF, Functional, Burn-In, Environmental, Vibration Shake and Bake, and X-Ray. We can also customize our testing services to meet your requirements.

Does Qualitel have the ability to develop test fixtures and test plans?

Qualitel can develop test fixtures for Checksum ICT, HP/Agilent 3070, and Flying Probe. We can also develop and manage full functional test systems.

Does Qualitel perform quick-turn prototyping?

Yes, Qualitel performs both consigned and turnkey prototype services.

What registrations does Qualitel have?

Qualitel has ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100, ITAR and FDA along with an FAA Repair registration certificate. Our manufacturing team is trained and certified to IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards.

What are Qualitel's design capabilities?

Qualitel does not offer any design services aside from our design testing services.

Does Qualitel charge for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) or Design for Test (DFT) analysis?

Qualitel can provide DFM/DFT analysis, which we perform through non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs on our quote.

Does Qualitel use an SPC method of manufacturing quality control?

Qualitel has been using a real-time SPC system since 2009.

Does Qualitel have Six Sigma-certified personnel in-house?

Qualitel has many lean certified employees who have acquired Six Sigma green and black belts.

Does Qualitel work with Boeing?

About 10% of the products Qualitel manufactures go into Boeing 737, 777, and 787 aircrafts. We build electronics for Boeing’s Tier 1 suppliers, rather than working directly with Boeing.
